Sites to Avoid

Below are several sites to avoid signing up for in my opinion and experience.  Others may have had good experience with them but I have not.   Take it for what you will.  I am constantly checking out new sites of all sorts and this list might grow.

One thing to keep in mind though with any On-Line Earning site, if it sounds too good to be true it usually is.

Site Name My Experience

3quartermails.com I joined this site and they did send a lot amount of email.  The problem came in that most email was worth only .015 cents so after having done a hundred of clicks I'd only earned 4 cents and the minimum payout is $5, it would take a very, very long time to reach payout.  I decided it was not worth the bother.  This is one that it is up to you to decide whether it is worth hassling with.

9PTR  Now this was a site I did recommend. They started out great.  They sent a fair amount of email and paid out on time.   I requested payout, the money was subtracted from my account and it showed I was pad on the "Been Paid List" but I never received the money.    I wrote to them several times. They did not write back and still no money.

aceptr.com I joined this site and they did send a fair amount of email.  The problem came in that most email was worth only .01 cents; it was the PTP email only even though I had not checked off for receiving such email.  I never received any that were worth more then .03 cents.   I decided it was not worth the bother.  This is one that it is up to you to decide whether it is worth hassling with.

Amity-cash.com, seeking-cash.net, strawberrybizs.com These three are owned by the same person.  They used to be very good and paid out on time.  Now they jumped their payout to $3 and aren't sending any emails.  One is stuck at whatever money one has earned.  They do not respond to any emails and it appears they have abandoned the sites.

berrymails.com I joined this site and they did send a fair amount of email.  The problem came in with each link I clicked on there was either a Trojan, virus or other problem then sent my Norton Anti-Virus off.  I wrote to them about this several times and received nothing back from them on it.

cash4offers This site offers paid to click emails at 5 cents each.  It also has sign up offers to earn more money.  The minimum payout is at $25.  What they don't tell you either in their terms or their FAQ page is that you have to do and have approve at least the equivalent of 1 offer per month otherwise you cannot cash out.  I wrote to them several times and even tried instant messaging them since they ha that information there.  Nothing and still no money. They do not answer support emails.

cashseeks.net This site used to be very good and paid out well but suddenly stopped sending emails.  I wrote to them repeatedly to find out why but never received a response back.  Not sure what is happening with them or if the site is abandoned.

Chipsmail and Tosunmail I started out on Tosunmail and they paid out without problems and then they got in a new owner. They had trouble with their emails not going through so they asked those who wasn't getting emails to join Chipsmail and they would pay out the balance owed on Tosunmail to those who switched over. We just had to contact them to let them know our username and to make sure we used the same one on both accounts. Well I moved over and started clicking away. I reached payout at Chipsmail and when I went to withdraw I couldn't, it said I had to be a member for 14 days first. I wrote to them on this because there is nothing in the TOS or FAQ on it. I also asked them at this point since I hadn't been paid for Tosunmail what was happening with it. I received no response and after a couple of days I tried again. A day or so later there was a notice in Chips that the withdraw button had been fixed. I tried, no it hadn't. Still got the same message so I wrote again on both issues. Again, no response. Finally I had been there 14 days and the button appeared. I requested my cash and nothing. They state they payout within 72 hours, after over a week I was still waiting. I wrote again, no response. I tried IMing them (since they offer that as well) again no response.

On the 26th the owner sent out a note that he was too busy in his personal life for either site and that it might change at the end of the next month (meaning November) and for everyone to be patient. As of November 1st I still hadn't been paid from either site. I checked my balance and it had been cleared down to $.20 from the $3.20 I had. I wrote again via email since the contact page kept coming up after I clicked on submit as page cannot be found. If he doesn't have the time for his sites then he should not be accepting new members nor should he be sending out emails for people to click on, both of which is still going on along with a referral contest. He should payout his balances and put the sites on hiatus until he has the time to devote to them obviously though he's not doing that.

Do I think I'll ever get paid? No, not at this point. These two seem to be scam sites now and I would recommend everyone avoid them at this point.

clixsense.com Now this site does pay but one has to wonder if it's worth it. It's free to join and you get at least one cent per click.  You have to reach $10 before you get paid, and it can take several months to reach that amount.  Then they mail you a check and take $3 for it, so you only get $7 of it.  You can upgrade and receive more clicks but to upgrade you have to use a credit card (You can't use your earnings).  I wouldn't bother wasting one's time there but others might consider it worth it.  Your choice.

coolcatmails.com Now this was a site I did recommend. They started out great.  They sent a fair amount of email and paid out on time.  Then they started sending less and less email so I was only getting about 3 per day but I finally reached payout again. I requested payout, the money was subtracted from my account and it showed I was paid on the "Been Paid List" but I never received the money.    I wrote to them several times and even tried instant messaging them since they have that information there. They did not write back and still no money.

Dailylooking.com, ecashclicks.com,  ilovemailz.com,
and thegoldmail.net
Now these were sites that I did recommend. They started out great.  They sent a fair amount of email and paid out on time. I requested payout, the money was subtracted from my account but I never received the money.    I wrote to them several times and even tried instant messaging them since they have that information there. They did not write back and still no money.

daylookup.com After joining this site I received the first set of emails.  The first two were almost impossible to read due to poor html in the coding.  I found the links though and clicked on them.  The third email was a bit better and I noticed it was an anti-cheat link.  Well I went to the site to check and yes the first two were anti-cheat as well but due to how poor the coding was you could not read that.  I was now $2 in the hole.  I went to delete my account and couldn't.  There was no delete area.  I had to contact them to get removed.

earningeasymoney.com and easy-making-money.com These two sites used to be very good. They sent a great deal of emails, paid out well and then boom down to just a couple a day with no response to emails sent to them.

Flyemails.com This is another site I did recommend.  They sent out a good amount of email, paid on time and even had bonuses for higher payouts.  Then all of a sudden they stopped sending emails.  A notice was put up that emails would start again in June however instead of that happening the site is now suspended by the hosting company.  The owners of this also own forpaid.com

Gainpay and Gainmail These are two sites that I did recommend. They started out great.  They sent a fair amount of email and paid out on time.  Then they started sending less and less email so I was only getting about 3 every few days but I finally reached payout again. I requested payout at Gainpay and after several days requested it again.  After a few more days I wrote to them, at this point it had been a week since my original request.  At two weeks I wrote again with still no response.  I am almost at payout at Gainmail and once I do I will request from there as well but I doubt I'll have any better luck.

Halfpennyclicks.com

This was a site I recommended until recently. On July 8, 2009, the site owner announced:

"Those of you who have been paid 5 or more times & are not premier members will have to upgrade to be able to do so again, I have set up a new membership just for you. Get Paid Membership for 1 year $2.44 You need to contact me to get this membership."

I wrote and was assured yes one had to upgrade.  I do not agree with any site where one has to upgrade in order to get paid.

hits4pay.com This site I have been told repeatedly pays out.  I don't know I have yet to reach their minimum payout.  They give you $10 to start and each click is worth 2 cents, minimum payout is $25.  When I first joined the minimum was $50 but they have lowered that amount.  Still I've been with them for well over a year and still cannot reach payout.  They just don't send enough email.  Also they do require your tax info before they will send you your money, even though you won't make enough at that point to file anything with.  This is another one where it's up to you to decide if it's worth bothering with.

As a note I did reach payout finally from them.  It only took 4 years to do but I did it.  They did payout a little later then they originally said but only by a few days and they did put a note up that payments would be made by the 18th.

infreemails.com This was another good site until they stopped sending emails.  I get one .25 cent a day and they upped my payout to $3.  They do not respond to emails on questions and show no signs of changing.

fairytaletreasure.com

they have since changed urls and name to simplegpt, whether it is the same owners or not I do not know but I would be leary.
This is a GPT site I joined that seemed great.  I did earn on them and was paid.  I was earning quite a bit on there actually.  This was when I first started doing GPT's and I had tried out a few different ones before settling on FTT, this was over a month span and then I decided to just stick with 1 of them.  I was doing FTT solely for 2 weeks.  I wrote asking them about a duplication on their site and asking since it was there could I do it again.  They told me no, that I could not do any offer again no matter what.  Well I asked them then because there is more then one computer and one person in the house what if they do one and I don't know about it.  They said it didn't matter who did it or when, etc.  Well I let them know I was solely doing them for the last 2 weeks and I'd let the others know not to any. I checked with the others and they hadn't been doing any recently and wouldn't.  I asked would this be a problem.  FTT stated "No it wouldn't be a problem so long as I stuck with them and that I was one of their best workers".  I figure great and I continue to do the sign ups... 3 days later my account was deleted.  They stated I had too many duplicate offers that were rejected but couldn't let me know until the next month what these offers were.  I got the list and most were offers that never cleared to begin with (they were pending only) but even if they had cleared the amount rejected no where equaled the amount I had earned.  They kept those earnings and I am now not able to do those offerings elsewhere so am out that money completely.  So I would say use this site with caution.

Gombolptr.biz and Notemailer.com These are two sites I recommended before.  They were great and paid out on time but that has changed.  Now Gombolptr is still sending emails and payments but who knows for how long. Notemailer.com has stopped sending emails and has stopped paying people.  They owe me almost $3.00.  I've written repeatedly to the owner via both Notemailer.com and Gombolptr.biz on these issues with no response.  After almost two months now I think it's clear that they aren't going to respond or pay.  I would not recommend either of these sites to anyone at this point.

mybizs.com I joined this site, clicked on the emails as they came in until I reached payout.  It states once you reach payout level a "redemption option appear in your account area".  It never appeared.  I wrote to them several times on this and never received anything back.  Over a month passed and I still didn't get paid.  I dropped them.

niceptr.com This site looked good and I saw them advertised all over so I signed up.  On their front page it states "Send 40-80 emails to active members".  Well I was with them for almost 2 months.  In that whole time I got 1 email.  Yes just the 1.  I checked my inbox on site and that was all they sent.  Overall a waste of time.

paydaynight.com Another site that looked decent.  I signed up, did the clicks till I reached payout and then nothing.  I requested it but nothing ever came through.  I emailed repeatedly and still nothing.  On recent checking their site seems to be down but one never knows when they might pop up again.

penquin-mails.com I joined this site because they promised numerous emails and decent payouts.  I get one email a day.  When I wrote to them on it they said to support them more. I search with the one they send, how much more can I support?  With their payout at $3 and only earning 1/2 a penny a day it would take too long to reach payout.

prizebook.com Another site that looked decent.  I joined them originally back in July. By their FAQ page they say they payout every Friday night so long as you've reached payout however by their forums and support tickets they say they payout nightly at 12am PST to paypal accounts. The first time I reached payout it took almost a week to get paid, the same with the second time however each time they at least responded to support questions and questions in the forum. They gave excuses to why they were bogged down. The first time saying due to recent press coverage they had far more new members then they expected and it had slowed them down. The second time they stated it was some problem with paypal. Now they aren't even bothering to respond to support tickets or to people in the forum. The forum is filled with people complaining about unanswered support tickets and not getting paid, some haven't been responded to or paid in weeks.

They also have a big problem with having "trial offers" in the "free area". I sent in a support ticket back in October on it and they did respond saying they would fix it. They never did. Others have noted similar in the forum that they have let them know without it getting fixed.

Finally their referral program via the FAQ page says you get $5 once the person confirms their email however this is not the case. In the forum the admins have stated it's once the person has reached payout and they get paid then you get the $5. They seem to contradict themselves constantly on this issue to try and avoid paying referrals.

readrevenue.com Another site that looked decent.  I signed up, did the clicks till I reached payout and then nothing.  I requested it but nothing ever came through.  I emailed repeatedly and still nothing.

real-cashs.com I'd seen this site advertised a great deal as well and tried it.  I would only get one or two emails per day from them so earning the minimum payout of a $1 took me almost 6 months but I reached it and then they changed the payout to $2.  I was not going to waste any more time and deleted my account with them.

rosemails.com Another site that looked decent. I signed up but no emails ever reached my box.  I had to use the on-site box only and they had very few and low price amounts. They promise one cent emails among other amounts but I only ever saw .025 or .25 cent emails.  With a $3 minimum it would take months especially since you can only open one link at a time.

sharedmails.com Another site that looked decent.  I signed up, did the clicks till I reached payout and even got payout, twice from them.  Now though they aren't paying people and not responding to emails.  Not sure what happened but they were one of the good ones but now they are being watched at GPT and I would recommend not trying them.

Update on this one.  They did email people to say they were having problems and shutting down.  They state they will pay people eventually but when that will be who knows.

sparky-mail.com I'd seen this site advertised a great deal as well and tried it.  I would only get a few emails per day from them and the clicks were worth 1/100ths or 5/100ths of a penny so earning the minimum payout of a $5 would take forever if at all possible.  I decided it was not worth the bother.  This is another one that it is up to you to decide whether it is worth hassling with.

sunny-mails.com This is one of those too good to be true sites that I found when I first started doing these.  They offer large amounts but never, ever payout.

tesasteamails.com Well I loved Tesas when I first joined but I recently dropped them. They were sending over 230 emails a day and each one worth around .025cents so that it took forty of them to even equal a penny but then if you bounced any email at all they would switch you from email to the onsite inbox only. I wrote to them about this and found out out of 230 emails per day I was bouncing 2 back a day (less then 1%) and they found that to be unacceptable because it takes their bandwidth up (their words on that. I've never had email on my domain effect my bandwidth).

I told them any email account out there bounces now and then especially when they are receiving that many from one person, it looks like spam even though it isn't. I was told by them to get my own domain email for it and then I wouldn't have any problem. I have my own domain email and it bounces now and then as well, just how it goes. Nothing on the internet is perfect and they should realize that.

I've since heard they have had trouble due to bandwidth limit being exceeded but that they are still up and running.

thinkbux.com I have been a member of many PTC sites but only a few of the "bux" sites that have become very popular. The first one kept upping the payout so people wouldn't get paid and I avoided them afterwards but then I thought well I'll give another one a try. I joined Thinkbux, I read through the terms of service and the FAQ page before doing so. When I joined it stated on those along with the home page that they payout via Paypal and AlertPay. Just so everyone knows I will not join if it's AlertPay only because AlertPay costs to transfer money to my bank where as Payapl doesn't. Why should I lose money if I don't have to. Also when I joined the amount needed to reach was only $2. Just before I reached that amount they upped it to $5. I figured ok I'll keep going and see what happens. I finally reached the $5 mark and went to cash out. I couldn't. The only way I could cash out via Paypal is if I bought a premium account. I double checked the current news, the terms of service and the FAQ page, there is nothing on there about this. I wrote to them and told them this. That by what I signed up for I should be able to use Paypal. After several letters they finally admitted they needed to update the TOS and the FAQ page but basically unless I wanted to pay for the privileged I couldn't use Paypal.

I wrote back letting them know that what they are doing is called "Bait and Switch", which is an illegal practice in most countries that I know of. That is where you offer one thing and then turn around and say that to get that you actually have to pay more or get something of lesser value then what was promised. Their response: "Listen, i dont have time to argue with you. If you don't like our service then please stop continuing here on ThinkBux but if you still want to be with us i suggest you upgrade and cashout via paypal. if not cashout via alertpay. its not like we're not going to give you the money." (this is a direct copy from their response)

Now why should I think they will pay me since they have already shown a preference for fraudulent activity? I would recommend others to avoid them. Now they might be willing to pay but I personally wouldn't trust them for long.

ugains.com Another site that looked decent.  I signed up, did the clicks till I reached payout and then nothing.  I requested it but nothing ever came through.  I emailed repeatedly and still nothing.  I waited over a month and never had one cent come through.

  More to Come :(
